BROKEN SPIRIT

Text: Is. 1:10-20, Ps. 51:16-17

The sacrifice acceptable to God is that which comes from a broken spirit and a contrite heart. God looks beyond the external to weigh what is in our heart, so mere external religious observance alone do not impress God. Sin to the soul is a poison that must be purged without delay.
